Nitro rail car doing a hefty wheelstand. The setup used here runs the 1/4 mile in a hair under 9 seconds with 750 hp. The rear gear ratio was increased intentionally beyond optimum to get the wheels up for this shot. Normally, the front wheels come up just a couple inches on launch, depending on how the clutch is set up.
On board the rail car for a wild ride! Here, the camera is mounted inside the driver's helmet, so this is pretty much what you'd really see during this little blast down the quarter mile.
